AmuCad
Ammunition Cadastre Sea
Millions of tons of explosive remnants from past wars and military activities pose a significant threat to the environment, shipping, marine infrastructure, and human safety worldwide. A considerable portion of these hazards stems from deliberate ammunition dumping after World War II, which has turned into critical situation as deteriorating shells release toxic substances into the water.
Our mission is to tackle this critical issue by acquiring, assessing, and analyzing historic data using advanced AI technology. Through this approach, we establish a comprehensive information system dedicated to mapping and monitoring munition dumpsites from both world wars. By integrating information from historical documents, ship positions, munition types, and chemical data into a single system, we create a powerful spatial data hub capable of effectively mapping and monitoring these threats.
